At the 2017 Animus Women’s Innovation Summit, event co-founder Lucienne Gigante sits down with Legendary Puerto Rican Icon Rita Moreno in a wide ranging conversation about her amazing life and career.

Born in Humacao, Puerto Rico, Rita Moreno has won all four of the most prestigious awards in show business: an Oscar, a Tony, two Emmys and a Grammy. Among her other accolades are the Presidential Medal of Freedom, Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award, National Medal of Arts and a Kennedy Center Honor for her lifetime contributions to American culture. Rita’s career spans more than 60 years, starting with her Broadway debut at age 13 and including more than 40 feature films and numerous TV shows.

Lucienne Gigante is a Social Innovator, Communications & Public Relations Leader, the Founder of LuGi, LLC as well as co-founder of the Animus Women’s Innovation Summit. She has vast experience in advertising, marketing, crisis management and brand transformation. She has developed numerous successful corporate social responsibility platforms, some in the banking sector, such as “Women of Success,” which created more than 40 new women-owned businesses and more than 70 new jobs. She has received over 50 awards, including the American Banking Association’s “Social Impact Award,” SME’s “Top Management Award” and PR News’ “Community Person of the Year.” Lucienne served as board member of the Council on the Environment of New York City. The Puerto Rico Senate’s Commission on Women Issues recognized her for her achievements.
