During her address at the 2019 Animus Summit, Mara Meinhofer discusses her journey to success.
Mara spent years as a high-ranking official for the Puerto Rico government, working on economic and fiscal affairs. At 28 years old, she became the youngest woman to be appointed undersecretary of commerce in PR. Six years later, she returned to tackle bond crisis, leading the PR Economic Development Office in New York and meeting with investors and bondholders to explain why it was still a good idea to invest in Puerto Rico. Her efforts helped create new jobs and economic activity on the island.
